Why is Christopher Columbus a Petty High Schooler??

I gotta say, in elementary school, Christopher Columbus seemed like a pretty neat guy. Like discovering America- seems like very cool guy stuff right? But now honestly, Columbus just reminds me of a big high school bully. According to CNN, the Native Americans were the ones "who suffered greatly after Columbus' arrival." Columbus over here just stomps around, savagely destroying human beings without really caring at all about what they think. Lowkey kinda reminds me of mean girls at school who say mean stuff behind people's backs and don't even care how it makes them feel. Like yeah let's just all be horrible people, that sounds fun right?!

Okay but seriously, what makes people think they are so much better than other people??? Literally who cares if you're better looking, wealthier, funnier, or smarter than someone else? Christopher Columbus honestly did us all dirty by letting people think they can walk around thinking they're the greatest thing to bless this earth. I hate to break it to you sweetie, but we're all the same. So any of you that think you're literal royalty can take off your crown. I just wish we could all get along like we used to in middle school, I hate high school. Could we all just stop being petty and rude to each other, it really isn't that hard. I'm sorry if you decided when you were a kid that Christopher Columbus was your role model, because that cool adventurer dude kind of set you up to be an awful person.
